Wakame Seaweed Salad

Ingredients:

  • 30g Wakame Dried Seaweed (Arame or Hijiki)
  • 4 shallots, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Feng He Garden Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sweet Rice Wine
  • 1 tbsp Ghee Hiang Sesame Oil
  • 1 dried chili, finely chopped
  • 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tbsp White Sesame Seeds
  • Sugar, to taste

Methods:

  1. Begin by soaking the dried seaweed in a bowl filled with ample water for approximately 10-15 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, combine all the ingredients in a bowl, excluding the sesame seeds.
  3. Once the seaweed has softened, carefully drain and gently squeeze out the excess water.
  4. Transfer the seaweed into the bowl with the prepared sauce mixture. Thoroughly coat the seaweed with the sauce.
  5. Sprinkle the salad with white sesame seeds as a garnish.
  6. Your delicious Wakame Seaweed Salad is now ready to be served. Enjoy!
