Ingredients:
-
150g Thinly Sliced Beef Short Plate
-
1/2 medium Yellow Onion (sliced thinly along the grain)
-
100ml Dashi Stock
-
1.5 tbsp Feng He Garden First Extract Soy Sauce
-
1.5 tbsp Mirin
-
1 tbsp Sake
-
1/2 tbsp Sugar
-
Side: Blanched broccoli florets & carrot slices (blanched in salted water for 60 seconds)
-
Base: Steaming hot white rice
Method:
-
Simmer the Base: In a shallow pan, combine dashi stock, Feng He Garden First Extract Soy Sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
-
Soften the Onions: Add sliced onions directly into the broth. Cover and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until soft and translucent.

Cook the Beef: Lay thin beef slices into the broth in a single layer. Skim off any excess foam. Simmer for 60–90 seconds until barely cooked through, then turn off the heat immediately.
-
Assemble & Serve: Spoon the tender beef and onions over a deep bowl of hot rice. Arrange blanched broccoli and carrots on the side, drizzle two spoonfuls of reduced broth over top, and serve hot!
